The fulfillment of contractual obligations for the supply of cotton became the main topic of business negotiations of A.V. Mezhinsky with Central Asian partners. The CEO of the flagship of the light industry of Transnistria personally saw and supervised the process of the harvesting campaign in South Kazakhstan. Andrei Mezhinsky inspected the fields, where a massive collection of “white gold” was taking place, and also visited cotton receiving points and cotton processing factories, where the raw material was cleared from bolls and trash and turned into cotton fiber. After this, overcoming about 7 thousand kilometers along the roads of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia and Ukraine in heavyweight trucks, or more than 4.5 thousand km by rail, cotton fiber will arrive in Transnistria.

As the head of Tirotex noted: "Cotton is harvested twice. Now is the end of the first season, and the second season will begin towards the end of October. However, even now preliminary forecasts do not allow us to relax. This year, the Central Asian cotton growers went through serious trials related to the fight against the mass invasion of moths and other pests. Of course, all this has affected both the volume of cotton grown and the pricing of the new crop of this year. The organization of stable, reliable supplies and the implementation of the quality control of raw materials supplied to the Transnistrian enterprise were the main topics of discussion with business partners. During the meeting, we reached an agreement on the terms of the contract for the supply of cotton in 2018-2019, and also exchanged views on topical issues of purchasing and supplying raw materials."

Every day Tirotex processes about 45 tones of purified cotton fiber to produce yarn. At the same time, the potential capacity of spinning production is more than 50 tons of raw materials, and for the Transnistrian textile enterprise the uninterrupted supply of the main raw material base is a matter of the utmost importance. Therefore, the visit A.V. Mezhinskiy to the Republic of Kazakhstan is not just a visit of politeness, but a strategic step, the goal of which is to ensure the raw material and financial security of Tirotex.
