THE AMBASSADOR EXTRAORDINARY AND PLENIPOTENTIARY OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC VISITED TIROTEX 22 March 2018
Mr. Zdenek Krejci, accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Ivana Krejcova, as well as the Adviser of the Embassy for Economic Affairs and Development Cooperation, Mr. Jan Husak, and the Coordinator of the Development Cooperation Projects, Ms. Daniela Dragalin, met with the Director General of the Transnistrian Textile Company "Tirotex", Andrei Mezhinsky. The event was also attended by the representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR.
During the business meeting, the parties discussed issues of possible interaction and intensification of interregional cooperation. In this context, the general director of Tirotex noted that the trade relations of the textile company with the Czech Republic have been dynamic for 7 years already. So, for example, analyzing the results of the past year, there were delivered about 1 million 300 thousand meters of fabric to the Czech market. The assortment of preferred textile products is the most diverse, but the largest share is ready-made fabrics - renforce, cotton sheeting fabrics and crepe. To a certain extent, Czech companies are also interested in fabrics for garments, as well as in sateen and flannel. The peculiarity of cooperation with this market is that partners place orders mainly for rotary printed patterns and volumetric prints printed with a high-tech digital printing machine.
Along with the discussion of the development of market relations, Andrei Mezhinsky singled out a strict system of quality control at the enterprise, as an important component in production activities. So, for example, a week ago, employees of the textile complex were trained according to the new edition of ISO 9001-2015 to upgrade their qualifications. The seminars were conducted by the auditor of the international certification body.
It should be noted that the Transnistrian producer annually passes a social audit, according to the requirements of Walt Disney. Thanks to this, one of the Czech partners, licensed by the above-mentioned company, has the opportunity to place orders for the production of fabrics with world-famous drawings of cartoon characters at Tirotex.
After the official meeting, the general director of Tirotex conducted an excursion and demonstrated all the stages of textile production from cotton processing to ready-made items.
The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador was interested and amazed at the development and implementation of advanced technologies at the factory, which plays an invaluable role in the development of the Transnistrian light industry sector. He reported on Tirotex as a reputable brand and shared his personal impressions, having emphasized that he was glad to visit the company known throughout Europe, which creates a quality product and is dynamically developing.
